Gladiss
Warda is a registered clinical psychologist with extensive experience
in working with children, adolescents, young adults and their
families since 1998. She has specific expertise in providing
psychological intervention to children and adolescents presenting
with a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties. She is
interested in working with parents on attachment and bonding issues
and dealing with life transitions including perinatal and postnatal
anxiety and depression. Gladiss has also became skilled in treating
young adults presenting with a range of psychological disorders
including anxiety, depression study stress, procrastination,
interpersonal difficulties, and transition into further education
through her work in Tertiary Education.
Gladiss
obtained her Bachelor of Arts with Honours (Psychology) and her
Master of Psychology (Clinical) at UNSW. She has been a member of the
Australian Psychological Society (APS) College of Clinical
Psychologists for over 20 years, and she is a founding member of the
Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA). Gladiss has
also been involved in supervising clinical psychology registrars
completing their training at UNSW, University of Sydney, Macquarie
University and University of Wollongong. She holds a supervisory role
at the UNSW Psychology Clinic and is involved in training Master of
Clinical Psychology candidates.
Gladiss
offers a warm, compassionate and accepting atmosphere for children,
adolescents, adults and families. She utilises evidence-based
therapies to build on their strengths to help them achieve growth and
change in their lives. She is skilled in using Cognitive
Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment-based approaches to building a
strong parent-child relationship (Circle of Security, Marte Meo),
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and EMDR.
