Marlene is a registered Clinical Psychologist who has specialised in working with children, adolescents, and their families in Singapore and Australia since 2002. Currently working part-time in private practice and within the public health system, she has also worked with the University of New South Wales and a Non-Government Organisation assisting children and adolescents with behaviour difficulties and conduct disorder.

Marlene has worked in child protection, juvenile justice, child and adolescent mental health services, child and family counselling, and anxiety management. She has a wide range of experience in assessing and treating emotional and behavioural difficulties, managing anxiety and trauma reactions in children and adolescents, and treating young adults experiencing depression and anxiety. Marlene utilises evidence-based therapies to build on the strengths of individuals and families to help them achieve change in their lives.  She is skilled in using cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, attachment-based therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches.  As a therapist, Marlene works within the attachment framework and believes that connections and relationships are key components in helping families overcome their difficulties and help families achieve their goals in an open and empathic way.  Marlene is committed to help individuals and families build resilience, and foster stronger family and social relationships.
